The Power Principle of Targeted Living, part 4

December 1, 2008

Targeted living is successful living. Targeted living is abundance living. Targeted living is empowered living. Targeted living is a happy and fruitful lifestyle. Targeted living is life at it’s best.

We all know that we need to do this, but why don’t we do it? Here are some ideas, and maybe you can see yourself in them:

People do not set targets because they are afraid of failure if they do not hit their target. The fear of failure is common, and often paralyzes its victims. Failure, remember, is just part of success. We’ve all failed, and the key is to learn how to work through failure until we succeed. You can never really fail as long as you always learn from failure. Thomas Edison said, when he was questioned about why he had failed over one thousand times in his experiments to invent the light bulbs, “I never failed a thousand times, I merely discovered a thousand ways of not doing it.” Aren’t we thankful today that he persevered and pushed through the failure and negative obstacles, refusing to be denied? With that kind of spirit he changed human history, and improved the lifestyle of all of us.

Many people do not set targets, because they are afraid of self-image damage if they set a target and do not hit it. Don’t worry about that. If you are a target creator, and stay focused on your life targets, taking daily action to reach them, you will find yourself automatically drawn to hitting them. You will add successes to your successes and your belief and self-confidence will automatically grow, as people with written targets hit a hundred times more than a person without them.

Many people do not live a targeted life because they procrastinate. They have good intentions, and always mean to, but they just never get it done. Why not do yourself a big favor and give your life a giant boost and start today.

Many people do not set targets for living because they do not want to have to do that much thinking. It really does require focused thought, which takes some discipline, and energy. The truth is that some people are just too lazy to exert the effort. But that wouldn’t be true of you, would it?
